Interview with 22PointSix's Yorkshire- born Digital Marketing Trekkie

22PointSix are delighted to welcome Paul Anderson, our new Business Development executive based in Yorkshire. Paul’s appointment is due to our expansion in the North of England. It’s been an ambition of ours for a long time and we are delighted to finally realise this dream. Read on to find out more about Paul.
North Yorkshire (God's Own Country)

Hello Paul, where are you from originally?

Yorkshire born and bred. I love Yorkshire (God’s Own County); it’s such a beautiful place to live. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

What is it you love about your job?

I’ve been working in this area for many years and so yes I do love my job role… As cliché as it sounds- I love helping clients grow their business. For me nothing beats tangible results- digital solutions drive in business leads. It’s easy to measure and wonderful to watch a company blossom after giving them advice or helping them identify a technology solution.

Why work for 22PointSix?

22PointSix is a very nimble company, staffed with people who are experts in their field. The company work across such a wide range of sectors and industries from tech to health care to fashion retail; and I am amazed by how much specialist knowledge each team member carries. 22PointSix also offer so many services so I do feel I can offer a client a complete package- such as a website with accompanying SEO work and a marketing video. It’s really all about wide brand creation and marketing as well as the beautiful websites. I feel honoured to be part of the team.

What gets you out of bed each morning?

I like every day to be different, a fresh challenge- that’s why I love my job so much. In reality, it’s my two dogs who get me out of bed each morning (usually at 6am!). We have a 1 year old bearded collie and a 15 year old golden retriever. My dogs insist I take them for a walk on the moors – come rain, snow, sunshine!

What do you see as the future in digital marketing?

If I knew the answer then I’d be setting up the next Facebook or Twitter! Digital marketing is part of the overall marketing mix and I see the channel continually evolving. That being said, I think the possibilities that AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning bring to digital marketing are both endless and at the same time a little scary.

What’s your experience in digital marketing?

I have over 20 years of traditional and digital marketing experience, plus I’ve also co-founded a number of businesses. So I like to think I can really add value to a client’s business by providing sound marketing expertise and advice and also by understanding where they are in their development phase.

Okay, last but not least- tell us your favourite film, favourite band, and favourite TV show…
